Our VoIP platform supplier Gradwell experienced some server failures in January which led to a few weeks of very poor quality voice service. They believe this is now probably fixed and have just released an excellent explanation of what went wrong, what they have done to fix the issues and what they have done and are doing to improve system resilience even more for the future. This is available on the Gradwell blog:

We are a small technology consultancy and need a quality phone service. We took broadband, Voip phone and centrex service from Gradwell of Cheltenham as they pertain to be experts and one source should remove any issues with incompatability. In over a year we have never had all our phones working and their support can only be described having the nature of a sloth. Very unsatisfactory.
I'm sorry to hear about your experience Kevin. The VoIP platform Gradwell provide is generally very good. At VoIP Advantage we provide the support to our clients (rather than your direct support from Gradwell) and enable them to get their phones all working. We don't have to contact Gradwell for higher level support very often, but we generally get our queries solved by them satisfactorily.
